Spring seems like a burst of life after winter
The 4 seasons — spring, summer, autumn & winter — happen when the intensity of sunlight changes on Earth due to the tilt of the Earth as it circles the sun. In the summer, the northern hemisphere is more exposed to direct sunlight; while in winter it is less exposed to it.The changes of season shows a change in temperature changes our whole environment. The weather changes. Animals hibernate WIKI or migrate. WIKI Plants become dormant. WIKI
A change in temperature really affects us.
So what will happen if Earth becomes extremely warm? It had been extremely warm. So it is not always about will it happen, because it already happened. During the Permian WIKI period, global warming is a suspect for our planet's greatest mass extinction - the Great Dying. REF
So knowing our history, scientists ponder our future on this planet. Our human activities, like burning fossil fuels (vehicles, industries) & deforestation may heat the Earth. ظهر الفساد في البر والبحر بما كسبت أيدي الناس [Q30:41] Earth is the only livable planet for us, and a hotter Earth is like Venus. WIKI Venus' surface temperature alone is 467°C. So it's important for us to care for the environment.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم And (in) the alternation of night and day, and (in) what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness, and (in His) directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. [Holy Quran 45:5]
واختلاف الليل والنهار وما أنزل الله من السماء من رزق
فأحيا به الأرض بعد موتها وتصريف الرياح آيات لقوم يعقلون
Anyway like the seasons, life on Earth had lived & died & lived again. It has happened. After the Permian died, Earth was resurrected with the next generation of species — the dinosaurs. Then the dinosaurs WIKI died as well, and the Earth resurrects again with humans. إن يشأ يذهبكم ويأت بخلق جديد [Q14:19-20]
It's amazing. The resurrection. فإذا أنزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت وأنبتت [Q22:5]

The last time I read about Siberia & methane, it followed with the Permian mass extinction. It was a period when a series of massive volcanic eruptions flooded ancient Siberia with enormous lava. "more than 1,200 billion tons of methane and 4,000 billion tons of sulfur dioxide could have emerged from the Siberian Traps eruption" [permian]
Now there's a crater there on the Yamal Peninsula, said to release methane. "As temperatures rose, the researchers suggest, permafrost thawed and collapsed, releasing methane that had been trapped in the icy ground... the comparative impact of [methane gas] on climate change is over 20 times greater than [carbon dioxide]... Arctic region is home to large reservoirs of methane" [siberian crater]
Will it warm the Earth & make it unstable (quakes, craters, landslides etc)?

Environmentally, the world cannot continue its high carbon - high consumption - high waste lifestyle, in which it calls as "development" or "productivity". Wasteful consumption needs more energy to supply it, which could mean more (carbon) emission. Since the Industrial Revolution, human related emissions are responsible for the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, now at its highest in 2 million years. | NASA, EPA

The need is to reduce emission and move to cleaner energy
