I really love Medina, it is so beautiful. The design, fragrances... Most of all it is the serene peace, the blessing of Allah SWT on the righteous buried there, it feels ever flowing. سبحان الله
Historically, Medina was once Yathrib. I read the Prophets Mosque is built in the area of the Bani Najjar, a tribe related to Prophet Muhammad through his great grandmother, Salma bin Amr - and it seems they were Jewish. Like his great grandmother and family, Prophet Muhammad himself is a businessman. The city is alive with tradings and services. Islam itself has essence of tradings and services, as our Book of Deeds is like an account.
A city modeled after Medina is modeled after an illuminated city ☆
