Sometimes... I wonder if muslim men prefer women without hijab. Coz I see the famous men. Their wives don't wear headscarves. The celebrities who don't wear headscarves are the role models. & the popular girls seems to be the one without headscarves.
Wearing the headscarf, for me, seems to be the harder struggle. (◠-◠)v
Oh, what harder struggle. Well, in a society where the hijab is deemed unfavorably, the headscarf lady sticks out like a sore thumb. If she meets an anti muslim person - he can easily identify her as a muslim. It's an obvious religious sign. She's totally visible. And in this modern world, does the hijab makes her look closed minded? Yes, she can't show off her beauty like the non hijabis. Is this closed minded...
Anyway, for a hijabi in a land of super beauties - it's not like she doesn't want to be beautiful. She's human. It's only... she forgoes that desire. A hijabi only have that in marriage. But can a man look past the beauty to wed her. فاظفر بذات الدين [SB7.62.27] & so, she's waits for that very special man, in a land where attractiveness is physical appeal. A land where she feels unattractive.
Isn't that a harder struggle? Cheer for you hijabis! ❤

Actually, for some reason my life is repeating, I've written something like this last year. (◠v◠) "I think the non hijabis have something special - attention, glamour. Wearing the hijab, in a way, I kinda forgo that. Doesn't this count?" Do I make sense? Well, it could sound cheesy, but I wear the hijab for Allah SWT. [QA Dress] Honestly other than that, I see no other reason why. Is there?

Purity. The verse continues with "... Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous." [Q3:39] (~v~)Wikipedia states the name John is derived, via Latin and Greek, from the Hebrew name Yochanan (Hebrew: יוחנן) meaning: "Yahweh is gracious". Allah SWT gives His grace. ماشا لله! ♥
Reminds me, I did write regarding shy men in 2007 [Shy]. & The Prophet (PBUH) was shier than a veiled virgin girl. [SB 8.73.140] ماشا لله (^v^)
Beloved Yahya. Whatever happens, as long as Allah SWT loves him. ♥ & honestly, can I imagine such a shy chaste man in this time? (^v^)v

Perhaps, in all this I do love to hide myself in my mihrab. Maybe it sounds cheesy, but I think I appreciate being the protected jewels. I wish people know how lucky they are to be in a purified environment. I love it.

It's fascinating that Yahya (John) was born just before Isa (Jesus). Both their parents asking Allah SWT how is it possible. (^v^)
As they're the prophets to Israelites. So. Were they at the Jerusalem Temple? The mihrab. I wonder where is this mihrab - of Zachariah [Q3:39] & Maryam [Q3:37]. Maryam actually withdrew to a place in the East & placed a screen [Q19:16-17]. The arabic word is actually hijab (حِجَابًا).
& ohh what does حَصُورًا mean in Q3:39, is it "abstaining"? Purity & chastity is very prominent.
