Good news. Elul is Dzulhijjah this year - insha Allah the month starts on 23rd August 2017. So insha Allah, in two weeks time there will be the hajj, the super massive reunion of mankind on Earth. ما شاء الله may the pilgrims rites be accepted, and may they receive hajj mabrur.

BTW in Masjidil Haram, the most beautiful sight is the tawaf طواف (circling the Kaabah seven times). Does it seem like ... a galaxy of child stars circling the parent star? If I may ... it seems like mankind returning to the place of their parents Adam and Eve - how they seek forgiveness from Ilahi, so they may return to Heaven. And we too seek forgiveness from Ilahi, so we may return to Heaven as well. ☆ Mercy

Here I am, oh Allah and none is equal to You

When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and muslims finally traveled to Mecca for Hajj - in the last moments of his life - this call (known as the talbiyah) reverberated along the way. It's a beautiful call to glorify Allah SWT, the One and Only God ... as well as mankind's wish to be under Allah's Mercy.

The month of Hajj, Dzulhijjah (ذو الحجة) means ذو (having) & الحجة (the plea, evidence)
It shows the wish & making our case to be under Allah's Mercy ❤ لبيك اللهم لبيك

Friday, Oct 3, 2014 Eid Adha, Yom Kippur Isn't it beautiful... ❤ ماشاء الله Did I read it right? Last Sermon

The day before Eid is the Day of Arafah. On this day, people of various colors from all over the world, gather at the plains of Arafah - the same plains where Adam & Eve were reunited. This is in remembrance of the Day of Judgement [QA], when mankind will gather & receive our Book of Deeds. On this day at the Mount of Mercy, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ delivered his Last Sermon: "Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds." Then on the Day of Eid, meat is sacrificed to feed the poor. This act of sacrifice is called qurban (korban קרבן).

The people I met in Mecca ...

If I were friendly, hajj would be more fantastic. Get to know my brother & sisters of all races. وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا [Q49:13] I think if I were friendly, maybe we could take photos with people of all colors. واختلاف ألسنتكم وألوانكم [Q30:22] Still, at least I've conversed with some. The granny that blow kissed me - she has an Arab, Turkish look. A Pakistani auntie - understand no ... nehe (नहीं). An arab girl smiled as I said "shukran (شكرا)". The cashier counter guy said "Malaziya? (الماليزية)". Nod nod. "Saudi?" I should've said that, it could be funny. But I only had that idea afterwards. Ahahah ...

Language-wise, some pilgrims speak their own tongue as if I can even understand it.

Anyway, some Saudi shopkeepers actually speak Malay. الحمد لله (◠v◠)

All & all, seeing all races created by Allah SWT ... ماشاء الله If anybody is still proposing beauty as a measure - I think my idea of handsome is now raised pretty high. As fate would have it, I saw a very handsome man sitting next to my bag at Safa. & that's why good deeds best defines a human, coz not all guys could look like him. نضرة و سرورا [Q76:11] سبحان الله

I did wish to ask, did the old man sleeping on cardboard has a great story to tell of his journey.
