Just a note
Malaysia is located here in the South East Asian region. It has its origins from several ancient Sultanates - the most famous is the Malaccan Sultanate [ref] which ruled the international Malacca port, once a trading center between the East and West.
Then the Malaccan Sultanate fell under the Portuguese & Dutch; followed by the British Empire, which also took over the other Sultanates. A brief Japanese invasion during WW2 and ethnic cooperation led to its independence from the British in 1957.
Once Tanah Melayu, it is renamed to Malaysia in 1963. [ref] The country included the Peninsular, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore; but in 1965 Singapore withdrew itself. The pace of modernization grew rapidly towards the 21st century, and the country is now a mix of the old & the new. الحمد لله
