Oh isn't nature vacations breath taking. ماشاء الله The shifting sand dunes, the spectacular Himalaya, the unknown deep ocean ... & the volcanoes attesting the hot stuffs kms away beneath your feet.
Even nature as simple as the 4 seasons can be amazing, to some one who never experienced it. Like when I was a kid in Japan's cold winter. It's fun blowing fog every time I breathe or talk! o(◠v◠)o So ... What more secrets the Earth has?
& imagine the nature exists, even before mankind. [timeline] ماشاء الله
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein (something) of every beautiful kind. Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns (to Allah). [Holy Quran 50:7-8]
And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth (apart), and you will never reach the mountains in height. [Holy Quran 17:37]

Wikipedia states the Himalayas contain the greatest area of glaciers and permafrost outside of the North & South Poles. 15,000 glaciers, storing ~12,000 km3 of freshwater. It is from here that Asia’s largest rivers flow. والله أعلم
It sustains more than a billion people’s livelihoods. الحمد لله
There's a hilly area at the Zagros Mountain [here] which has been burning for a long time, fueled by escaping gas plumes. When I saw this ever burning hill I thought, is this what Prophet Moses (PBUH) thought when he perceived a fire at the sacred valley, Tuwa (إني آنست نارا سآتيكم منها بخبر أو آتيكم بشهاب قبس لعلكم تصطلون | إنك بالوادي المقدس طوى). Tuwa is like "tuwa" (طوى : fold) - and the Zagros is a mountaineous fold of the Eurasian-Arabian Plate. [ref]
Just north of Zagros, there's Takht-e Soleyman (تخت سلیمان). [here] I wonder if the lake freezes in winter - like Lake Baikal where people can walk on glassy ice and see what's underneath. It reminds me of Prophet Solomon (PBUH) when he received the Queen of Sheba (قيل لها ادخلي الصرح، فلما رأته حسبته لجة وكشفت عن ساقيها، قال إنه صرح ممرد من قوارير).
If this map is right, the region is about 2,000 km from Sinai.
Wow, the map shows Jerusalem (القُدس) → Arar (عرعر) → Ur (أور). سبحان الله
It's the Isra. Like al-Isra (الإسراء : the journey), Sara (سرى : spread). \(◠v◠)/
