Sometimes, the west is regarded as different from our faith & culture. But may I highlight the commendable things that comes from the west. Personally, I appreciate the west for these reasons:


✿ Knowledge

Ann Makosinski invented a flash light that can be generated by body heat

I truly enjoy their knowledge. Their pursuit to spread knowledge to the world is remarkable. فهو يقضي بها ويعلمها [SM4.1779] From the universities, science channels (NG, Discovery), to the internet (Wikipedia) - they did it. الحمد لله

& they survive from knowledge as there is audience to support it. Even their TV dramas have the genre of science.


✿ Women Scientists

Anne, Lucy & Priscilla Our dinner conversations are often about Facebook and kids, and the kids that she's meeting - Mark Zuckerberg. His wife Priscilla inspired Facebook's organ donation drive.

The support for women scientists is commendable. It shows women can become an expert in science & technology, it's even expected. & when these ladies become smart - men still fall in love with them. Like executives of giant tech companies, who sponsored their wive's projects. Yay! ❤

✿ Inventions

The west has come up with many products that benefits us. One is the telephone by AG Bell. Then, the global phone line network became the internet. & as technology advances, the internet becomes wireless - & you can now go online using a tablet while walking around. The potential wireless applications are many.

Another field is in medicine. Radiotherapy, angiogenesis [video], or stem cells [video] etc. Such research may help treat diseases, Allah Wills. الحمد لله BTW have you notice how the ill VIPs seek medical treatment in the west? Hmmm...

Malays Diversity

The many faces of malay women
I've always thought about looking raceless. Personally, I even think the malays are interesting bcoz, we look from Siti Sarah to Sasha Saidin to Nori Abdullah! Yeah it's normal here to see a Pakistani woman, and realized she's actually malay. Well, her dad is! & guess what. I met a Malaysian Reem al-Hashemi. She's tall, radiant & stunning!

I really appreciate the malay's diversity.

Personally, may I say there is beauty in the diversity! واختلاف ألسنتكم وألوانكم [Q30:22] All the races & skin colors together. Get to know each other. وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا [Q49:13] & maybe, marry a special one who looks different... Yeah, maybe we could be stunning to those who finds us different than what he/she is used to see.. ha ha. الحمد لله BTW, when a white marries an african, their children can look a bit malay.
