The Furqan

Surah Al-A'la

Recently, I heard the mosque reciting the Fajr prayer. & I clearly overheard these verses:
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
[إن هذا لفي الصحف الأولى [18] صحف إبراهيم وموسى [19
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures.
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

[Holy Quran 87:18-19]
Wow. How is it that I, who can't speak much arabic, actually recognize these verses. [Q87:6-7] (◠v◠) So I was wondering what surah it was from. Then, I randomly open the Quran. & it's exactly the surah for the verses! Surah Al-A'la (The Most High). The Quran states that Rasulullah recited this surah for the two Eid prayers.

What's more, now I keep randomly opening Surah An-Najm. It also has:
Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses.
And (of) Abraham, who fulfilled (his obligations).
[Holy Quran 53:36-37]
The scriptures of Abraham & Moses. It shares the same message as the Quran. [QA Torah] So much so, that the Torah is called the Furqan (الفرقان : separator of right & wrong) - just like the Quran. [Q2:53, Q2:185]

Agreeably, both Abraham & Moses are believed by jews, christians & muslims. But somehow, not Jesus & Muhammad, even though they too deliver the same message.

Still, even if the faiths differed, both Abraham & Moses advised that the Hereafter is better and more enduring. That we can have nothing but what we do. & our efforts will be shown to us for recompense.
That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And that there is not for man except that for which he strives. And that his effort is going to be seen. Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense. [Holy Quran 53:38-41]
Abraham preceded both Judaism & Christianity, yet his faith is still purely about surrendering in peace to the One Allah. & this is what defines a muslim.

Ohh isn't nativity plays amusing. (◠v◠)v

Mitzvah

Fun Baby Shower Invitation [party]
Baby hair shaving for muslims (◠v◠)

I'm tempted to give my views on some issues. But it is Ramadhan, and it is the month of restrain. Perhaps this is not the time? Or is it? Yes, I prefer if I can go to my Hira Cave (قلم qalam) and contemplate fully before saying. So foremostly, I'm sorry if ever. (◠-◠)v

Well ... The news is reporting about teenage pregnancies. And you know, the teaching of birds & bees. If anybody cares (ha ha, yeah I have to say that) - for me - my education is from the Quran & Hadith. Believe it or not, it's there, sweetheart. E.g: the Quran revealed you're from a sperm burst forth. [Q56:58] I can imagine the hilarity of "Mommy, what is semen burst forth." (◠v◠)

The male sperm, female egg, fertilization, fetal development in the womb, birth ... way to the death. The afterlife. It's all stated in the Quran & Hadith. [QA Body | Man]

So yeah. Muslim kids should've known their body.

And when I was a child, my ustazah (teacher) did told us about puberty. It's an age when deeds start to be recorded. The sign is women has menses & men has the dream: وإذا بلغ الأطفال منكم الحلم [Q24:59] ... الحلم is "dream", right? And when you reach that age, you are accountable.

..................................    mitzvah    ..................................

[SB8.81.773]

the light marks
the believer (إيمان)
So yes. The Quran & Hadith do teach the birds & the bees. & the Laws.

We simply abide. Intimacy outside of marriage is wrong, even going near it is wrong. [Q70:29] Just follow it, simple as that. I read people say abstinence doesn't work - but how do a sperm meets an egg if you abstain? For assault cases - it is a crime - preventing it requires more than education, it needs a strong justice system.

OK. So yeah do I sound like the religious zealot? Of course, muslims do have intimacy. In marriage - full of love, families & blessing. [SB7.62.27 | spirit] This is the right way. The wedding, gifts, celebrations. Then when the wife gave birth, her baby will be held by the father. & he will recite the azan & iqamat (call of prayer) to her/his ears. The grandparents will bumble in joyousness, "come everybody I'm giving aqiqah!" & everybody cuts strands of the baby's hair lovingly, the weight of his hair in silver is given to charity. Blessed ... .:(◠v◠):.

Please note

Muslims have laws even in regards to the body. E.g: if one has an intimate discharge, he must bath the whole body (ghusl) before performing the daily prayers. [Q29:45] Thus ever since puberty, even as a teen, there is an envelope of purity - this is faith when its delight enters the hearts بشاشته القلوب and mixes with them completely.

Under Allah's Care, may we be pure just as Prophet Joseph.

Surah An Noor (The Light) which revealed about intimacies - also revealed about light brightening the darkness. Prophet Joseph did fear he'll be among the ignorant if he succumbed. [Q12:33] the light must conquer the heart

Supernova

When the sun is wrapped up. And when the stars fall dispersing.
[Al-Quran 81:1-2]

I hope I understand the Arabic well. So, these verses mean the sun (الشمس) will be wrapped up (كورت) and fall dispersing. Imagine saying that 1,400 years ago - doesn't it sound insane. [Q81:22] But yes, our sun will be wrapped up & fall dispersing.

The life cycle of a star

Basically, the sun is a star & stars are a ball of fire. The nature of fire is - it soars up. So, after a star is born, its fire soars up. But gravity pulls it down to the core - so in its lifetime, the fiery star exists in a constant battle against gravity. When both forces are equal, the star exists in balance & retains its shape (main sequence star). [photo] But stars exists by burning it's fuel. As it ends its lifetime, it will exhaust its fuel & gravity will win. Gravity will pull the dying star & the star will fall back to its core.

Our sun will share the same fate. If I understand it right, the sun will grow into a red giant, then the dispersing dust & gas will eventually wrap itself - enveloping it as a planetary nebulae - and finally falls to its core as a dwarf. [video | NASA] ماشاء الله

An even more massive star will burst into a supernova [ref] - briefly outshining the entire galaxy. & if it overthrows its neutrons, it will fall to its core so completely it forms a black hole. It's an object so dense that even light cannot escape it's gravity. Which means, if you're there, you cannot escape it's gravity even at the speed of light.

This escape velocity is the speed that you need to throw an object upwards without it falling back because of gravity. In comparison, rockets escape the earth's gravity at ~25,000 mph. [ref]

Learning the reality. I don't know how to ignore it. (^v^)

I seek refuge from errors. Only Allah Knows Best.

Blessed Ramadhan

O you who have believed, decreed upon you fasting, as it was decreed
upon those before you, so that you may achieve taqwa [Quran 2:183]

.............................................................................................................
A Day In Ramadhan | QA
.............................................................................................................

صوم means
fasting, abstaining
1  Make Your Intention To Fast
Time: the night before fasting, from sunset to before dawn

Hey we're fasting tomorrow! So tonight, we make the intention.
It is obligated, or else the fast isn't valid.
According to Syafi'e, it must be recited every night.
Views say this is the best way. Say in the heart:
نويت صوم غد عن أداء فرض شهر رمضان هذه السنة لله تعالى
I intend to fast tomorrow to fulfill the obligation of Ramadhan
for this year, for Allah Ta'ala

Still according to Maliki, it can be recited for the whole month.
Before the 1st Ramadhan fast, say in the heart:
نويت صوم شهر رمضان كله لله تعالى
I intend to fast for the whole month of Ramadhan for Allah Ta'ala

 2  Eat Your Sahoor
Time: before fajr (dawn)

Wake up, wake up! We're having a very early morning meal, there's blessings in it. [SB3:31:146] The best time to eat sahoor is as close as possible to dawn. Then about 10 minutes before dawn, we stop eating.

 3  Fasting For The Day
Time: fajr (dawn) - maghrib (sunset)

Good things to do while fasting: وكان أجود ما يكون في رمضان [SB3:31:126]
· read the Holy Quran, praising Allah (zikr), follow the ways of the Prophet
· donating & helping the poor, needy, orphans etc
· increase good deeds
· avoid useless talks, deeds
· seek forgiveness from Allah SWT and people
"Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)" [From Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3 Book 31 Hadith127]

"Every believing servant would be granted pardon except the one in whose (heart) there is rancour against his brother" [From Sahih Muslim, Book 32 Hadith 6224]

Please take care that these things invalidates fasting:
· intentionally eating or drinking (quickly stop if we forgot)
· intentionally inserting anything into the body
· intentionally vomiting
· intentionally ejecting semen
· sexual relationship
· menses or postpartum bleeding
· insanity
· apostasy

 4  Breaking of fast
Time: maghrib (sunset)

When it's maghrib, time to break the fast! [SB3:31:175]
First, we recite the dua:
اللهم لك صمت و بك أمنت و على رزقك افطرت
O Allah, for You is my fasting, to You I have faith in,
and with Your sustenance I break my fast

It is best to break the fast early, starting with dates or water.
"..There are two pleasures for the fasting person, one at the time of breaking his fast, and
the other at the time when he will meet his Lord; then he will be pleased because of his fasting."
[From Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3 Book 31 Hadith 128]

 5  Tarawih Prayers
Time: after isha (night prayer) to before fajr (dawn)

Oh the special prayers! We do it only in Ramadhan, and it is recommended. [SB3:32:241] It can be done in congregation at the mosque or simply alone at home. It has 2 raka'at with 1 salam. This can be repeated again & again until 8 raka'at. Maximum 20 raka'at.
The intention:
I pray sunat Tarawih 2 raka'at (following imam)* for Allah Ta'ala

* recite if praying in congregation, dismiss if praying alone

Performing it is similar to the daily prayer. Please see How To Pray.
"Whoever established prayers on the Night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."
[From Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3 Book 31 Hadith 125]

 6  Zakat Fitra
Time: permissible during Ramadhan,
obligated after sunset on the last day of Ramadhan,
best on the 1st of Shawwal (after Fajr prayer to before Eid prayer),
forbidden after Eid prayer

Paying zakat fitra is obligated to a muslim who is not enslaved & able to pay; at the end of Ramadhan. The rate depends on the value of the local staple food.
E.g.: Zakat fitr for 1431 in Malaysia was by the rate of 2.27kg rice at RM7.

This is an overview, so please check out more in books
Have a blessed Ramadhan ☆ May Allah SWT rewards & forgives us
