 1  So. Have you ever wondered who is the ancient Israelite?

They're Semite. Semite are descendants of Shem (سام), the son of Prophet Noah ﷺ. Their lands encompass the Middle East, which means Arabs are also Semite. I.e: Prophet Abraham ﷺ, the ancestor of both Israelite & Arabs, came from ancient Iraq — he was Middle Eastern, not European.

They had lived in Egypt, which is in Africa. Prophet Joseph ﷺ married an Egyptian there, Prophet Moses ﷺ married a Midian [Q28:27-28] & Prophet David's ﷺ great grandmother Ruth was a Moabite.

 2  So, how do the Israelite look like?

Prophet Moses ﷺ is brown, straight hair & tall as if he was from the people of Az-Zutt. So, who are these Az-Zutt? Britannica states, the Az-Zutt is a nomadic Roma (Gypsy) folk in Oman. Currently along with the Sinti, they're the largest minority group in Europe — where they survived the 1930s Holocaust (Porajmos).

When we see the State of Israel, perhaps we see white European Jews who claim Israelite ancestry — they are Ashkenazis. But there are 10x more Israelite who are NOT Jews, e.g: the Samaritan. These Israelite are from the Kingdom of Israel — they are NOT the Jews who are from the Kingdom of Judah.

& the Jews themselves are not all Ashkenazi. There are Arab Jews ^REF and Spanish Jews. There is also brown Malayali (Cochin) Jews in Kerala, India. After the spread of Christianity, some of these Cochin Jews became Nasrani. فآمنت طائفة [61:14] الحواريون [3:52]
