Being Muslim

Posted By Snow at 5/19/2013 1 comments
I don't really know if I can say this beautifully. Still... I think being muslim is the most beautiful thing ever. Through this journey called life — in hardship or in ease — a muslims knows he/she is never alone. Allah SWT is Most Merciful, always guiding to righteousness. & Allah SWT is always near, Most Watching, Most Knowing, Most Compassionate to us.

I wish mankind feels how great Allah SWT's mercy is to us. In our life & in our death. When you feel the sweetness of faith, you will not want to ever depart from it.
............................................................................................

With that in the heart, so what is the life of a muslim. Fine... it's not full of sea splitting moments. Muslims live somewhat like any other person. We eat, drink, marry. It's just, in Islam, this world is only for mankind to do good deeds as much as we can before we die. Only in the hereafter, that we will receive our book of deeds & be rewarded. [Q39:69] The life of this world, is only a short journey.

So. How do muslims live in this short journey? OK, maybe the daily routine is like this:

Late night
Wake up
Pray tahajjud
Dawn
Pray fajr
Read Quran
Morning
Breakfast
Pray duha
Work, study
After noon
Pray zhur
Lunch
Work, study
Late noon
Pray asr
Work, study
Sunset
Pray maghrib
Read Quran
Dinner
Night
Pray Isha
Sleep

& I think I should do these until I die. (◠v◠) Yes, the day is filled with prayers. & work. Of course we have family & friends fun time in between. Then in the month of Ramadhan, we fast. We also pay zakat (somewhat like charitable taxes) every year. & we perform hajj in Mecca once in a lifetime.

A farmer harvesting crops to feed the nation

Work. As mentioned earlier, when we do something, it is written in our book of deeds. [Q54:52-53] So, perhaps some consider that acts can be classified as either "worldly deeds" (e.g: luxury vacation) or "hereafter deeds" (e.g: feeding orphans). Still, if I may ponder, I think there are many deeds considered "worldly" that we must do simply to support our life in this world. [SB8.75.398] We need food, clothes, shelter, medicine etc — it does not come magically. It needs work. [Q34:13]

So... please permit me to say this, I think while "hereafter works" are maybe associated with scholars of Islam; with some muslims becoming highly respected for their Islamic knowledge. Still, the rest of the muslims are also dedicating their life for Allah SWT in other lines of work. Sometimes, with more struggle & danger.

E.g: a farmer when he toiled hard to feed the nation, a policeman with their life fighting criminals, a construction worker with his exhaustion carrying bars & cement etc.

If they work sincerely for Allah SWT — it is righteousness. [Q49:15]

If we look back, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Lady Khadija, Caliph Abu Bakar, Caliph Uthman themselves were merchants. Perhaps honest traders who gives good services to the nation are not usually associated with piety, but I think it is righteousness. [Q62:10 | QA Business] ماشاء الله

Knowledge sought by ancient muslims benefits us to this day | 1001 Inventions

Of course, seeking the knowledge is important. Still, the earliest muslims at the time of the Prophet (PBUH) were learning Islam only after the revelation came to them later in life. So it's not too late for anyone! & when Allah SWT blesses someone with Islamic guidance, it will reach him either way. إن شاء الله

Test The Theory

This theory is not meant to be taken as is, but to be tested

The theory — is it possible for the Earth to be formed like this:

1  Gravity pulled dust, rocks & ice. [Q41:11] This is the standard theory. [pic NG] The difference is only the added ice in the mixture.
2  The early ice were vaporized by the hot core, forming clouds & the atmosphere. This atmosphere gradually cooled the outer layers of the Earth as the planet grew bigger.
3  The heavier clouds rained fresh water & snow. [Q24:43] The water seeped underground & ice were covered by more dust & rocks. [Q67:30] This surface became the Earth's crust.
4  The inner hot core pressured the underground water to break the Earth's crust. [Q2:74] Salt water spring out to become the ocean, & clouds rained fresh water. [Q25:53] Some grounds sank, some grew — creating low & high lands. [Q27:88] Nice temperature grew vegetation. [Q 50:7, 6:95]

Honestly, I may err. Wishing to test this to see if it's accurate! [Q23:71] v(◠v◠)v E.g: If icy meteorites explode in the atmosphere, will the ice ever reach the ground? [Chelyabinsk] So is the other way to get water is by ice vapor clouds snow?

With water, Earth is alive. Then it mass extinct & revived again. [Q 23:18, 35:9]
............................................................................................

Anyway, the Holy Quran reveals many verses about the Earth. ماشاء الله [QA Earth]
